The Cheryomushkinsky District Court has completed consideration of the first case against the defenders of the public garden on Profsoyuznaya Street, who were detained on Saturday, February 6. Kirill Kuprin, whom the police brought to court after two nights in the police department, was found guilty of disobeying the lawful order of a police officer and arrested for 10 days. This was announced by the lawyer of the Progressive Law project Vitaly Serukanov, who represents the interests of the detainees in court.
Judge Bodnar, who considered the administrative case, retired to her office to make a decision, and did not return for about two hours, the lawyer notes .
Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses is imputed to all ten detainees. On the morning of February 8, they were all taken to the Cheryomushkinsky court. Eight people remained in the OVD since February 6, two more were released on a promise to appear. According to Serukanov , the police department did not give the detainees the opportunity to get acquainted with the case materials. Until the last moment, the defense did not know under which article the protocols were drawn up.
On February 6, not far from the proposed site for the construction of a 22-storey building, a meeting of local residents with a deputy took place. After the end of the event, an unknown person threw a flare into the fenced area of the construction site. The police detained a random participant in the meeting, after which other residents tried to prevent the police bus from leaving, and then blocked Profsoyuznaya Street in protest. Nine other people were also detained.
Earlier, on February 1, was beaten municipal deputy Mikhail Gromov, who actively opposes the development, . He remained in the hospital until at least 8 February.
