25 years ago, on February 9, 1991, a referendum ("popular poll") was held in Lithuania on the independence of the republic, which was proclaimed on March 11, 1990. To the question: "Are you in favor of the state of Lithuania being an independent democratic republic?" - 90.2% of voters answered positively. 6.5% voted against. In total, 84.7% of voters took part in the referendum.
