Convicted Ukrainian Oleg Sentsov was transferred to Yakutia

Ukrainian director Oleg Sentsov, convicted of preparing terrorist attacks in the Crimea, is transferred to Yakutia, his cousin Natalya Kochneva told on her Facebook page. Earlier it was reported that Sentsov was sent to Irkutsk.

Kochneva also confirmed that Alexander Kolchenko, recognized by Sentsov’s accomplice, was still on the way to the Chelyabinsk region. “According to the latest intelligence data, Oleg still goes to Yakutia, Sasha, as expected, to Chelyabinsk. As we can, we follow the stage,” Kochneva wrote.

According to the Rain TV channel, Kolchenko is currently in Voronezh, and Sentsov in Samara. This was told by lawyer Kolchenko Svetlana Sidorkina. Mediazona previously noted that they began to transfer them on February 4, although information about this appeared only last Saturday.

Recall, on August 25, the North Caucasus District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don passed a conviction against Ukrainian director Oleg Sentsov in the case of the preparation of terrorist attacks in the Crimea. By the aggregate of crimes, he was sentenced to 20 years in a maximum security colony. Kolchenko, recognized by his accomplice, received 10 years.

According to investigators, from April to May 2014, Oleg Sentsov, Alexander Kolchenko, Alexei Chirniy and Gennady Afanasyev set fire to the offices of the Russian Community of Crimea in Simferopol and the local branch of the United Russia party. The FSB claims that they were preparing to commit terrorist attacks on the night of May 9 last year of home -made explosive devices near the eternal flame and the monument to Lenin in Simferopol.

Chirniy and other accused in the same case - Gennady Afanasyev - fully pleaded guilt and concluded an agreement with the investigation, and therefore their cases were considered separately. They received seven years of strict regime.

At the same time, human rights activists recognize Kolchenko and Sentsov political prisoners and require them to “immediate and unconditional liberation” and “complete rehabilitation”.
