Unemployment in the Novosibirsk region reached 8%

Unemployment in the Novosibirsk region increased to 7.9% according to the results of the fourth quarter of 2015. The indicator is above the average Russian.

The level of employment in the region for the fourth quarter of 2015 amounted to 64.8%, the Novosibirskstat report said. Of the 1.46 million economically active residents from 15 to 72 years old, 116.2 thousand people remain without work.

amounted to 5.7%. In the Siberian Federal District, the indicator is much higher - 8.5%. At the same time, unemployment in Tuva reached 20.8%, in the Republic of Altai - 11%, in Buryatia, the Altai and Transbaikal regions exceeded 10%.
