The current forms of OSAGO policies are not subject to replacement from July 1, 2016, Natalya Nikifirova, a representative of Goznak, told TASS.
According to her, we are talking only about the beginning of the issuance of new forms by insurers. The policies in circulation will not change.
The Russian Union of Insurers, in turn, called Goznak the initiator of the one-time replacement of policies.
“This was a request from Goznak itself to be done at once. The insurers wanted it to be transitional, but he says that it is better to do it all at once,” said Yevgeny Ufimtsev, executive director of the PCA. According to him, the start date for the replacement of the policy has not been finally set.
Later, the PCA denied Ufimtsev's statement, confirming that the replacement of policies would begin on July 1.
“We did not talk about the date with them (insurance union - ed.). It’s not smart to do this all at once, to make a fuss […],” Nikiforova explained.
