Navalny sued Putin

Oppositionist Alexei Navalny sued President Vladimir Putin, he told about this on his website.

According to Navalny, Putin approved the allocation of budget funds of the company, with which the husband of the alleged daughter of the president is associated. In this regard, the opposition filed a lawsuit to recognize this situation with a conflict of interests.

The opposition brought the data according to which the member of the Board of Directors of Sibura Kirill Shamalov owns Sibur through Yauza 12. In October 2015, the authorities allocated $ 1.75 billion from the Siburu from the National Welfare Fund for the construction of the West Siberian Petrochemical Plant (Zapsibneftekhim).

“Thus, he [Putin] personally conveyed a piece of the welfare of the people of Russia to his son -in -law. Had the right? Legally, yes. He had such a right, he only had to declare a conflict of interests, ”wrote the creator of the Corruption Fund.

As the oppositionist noted, the current Law “On Combating Corruption” states that the benefit of spouses of children from any decisions of officials is a conflict of interest. The conflict of interest is not an offense, but in such cases it is supposed to declare it and take self -release if necessary. Navalny described the situation as "the perfect case on which it can be explained that such a conflict of interests is generally."

The administrative statement was submitted to the Tver District Court of Moscow, also the opposition wrote complaints to the Prosecutor General and the Presidential Administration. On Twitter, Navalny wrote that "he sued Putin because of Putin's son-in-law and is sure that he would win."

The decision on the inclusion of “Zapsibnefthim” in the list of projects that can receive funds of the Federal Antimonopoly Service was signed by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev in October 2015. It was noted that the order of the government was prepared on behalf of the president.
