What happened (06.02 - 12.02)

There is two unconditionally good news: two political prisoners have been released! Alexander Margolin , who was imprisoned in the Bolotnaya case, was released, having received a parole, and Major Igor Matveev , who apparently sat down for a story about what the servicemen were fed with, served a full term.

Others are doing worse. Residents of Crimea Oleg Sentsov and Alexander Kolchenko, sentenced to long terms for terrorism, which did not exist, were transferred from the Rostov region , and to remote regions: Kolchenko to the Chelyabinsk region, and Sentsov to Yakutia. Their accomplice Gennady Afanasyev, who is serving a sentence in Komi, was transferred to a prison-type cell with the right to one visit every six months.

Speaking of Crimea. were detained in various cities and villages of the peninsula On February 11 and 12, Crimean Tatars . In total, at least thirteen people were detained, including human rights activist Emir-Usein Kuku and village imam Arsen Khalilov. On February 12, four people, including Kuku, were arrested for almost two months on charges of terrorism.

Detentions

There have been a lot of them over the past week. On Saturday, February 6, the Ramenki police department alone received at least eleven people - seven were detained for protests against the construction of a road on the site of the square, and four at the German embassy: they tried to pass a letter to the consul criticizing the migration policy of Chancellor Angela Merkel.

Ten more people were delivered on the same day to the Tyoply Stan police department. The detentions began already after the meeting of local residents, dissatisfied with the building plans, with the deputy. The first person was seized after an unknown and immediately dissolved provocateur threw a flare. Outraged by the detention, local residents tried to prevent the bus with the detainee from leaving, and then blocked the street. As a result, eight people were left in the police department until Monday, and on February 8, six of them were sent under administrative arrest for seven to twelve days ( here, lawyer Vitaly Serukanov tells how the trial went).

On February 7, at the Kalanchevskaya platform, the police detained two people who were distributing food to the homeless under the slogan "Food instead of bombs." In this case, however, the detainees escaped only by writing explanatory notes.

On February 8, the police detained currency mortgage holders who blocked the street near the building of the Central Bank. One of them was left overnight at the police station, and the next day they took him to court, where he spent 12 hours. The meeting never took place.

There were also arrests during the demolition of shopping malls throughout Moscow on the “night of long buckets”.

There were a lot of them too. The chairman of PARNAS, Mikhail Kasyanov, was first hit with a cake in Moscow, then pelted with eggs in Vladimir. Recall that earlier the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, posted a video on Instagram in which Kasyanov is depicted through the sight of a rifle. In Nizhny Novgorod, about fifteen people attacked activists who were on duty at the Boris Nemtsov memorial.
