On February 14, at the Troebortnoye checkpoint on the border with Ukraine, police and riot police detained several truck drivers involved in blocking trucks with Ukrainian numbers in response to similar measures in Ukraine. This was reported to the radio station "Moscow speaking" by one of the detainees, the director of the Bryansk transport company "Rostrans" Nikolai Savrukhin.
Meanwhile, another eyewitness told the radio station that the trucks did not block the road - according to him, the drivers gathered to discuss the latest news about the detentions of drivers in Ukraine with truckers who had just arrived from there.
“Our drivers from Ukraine called us and said that they were detained, kept at gunpoint, not allowed anywhere,” Moscow Says is quoted as saying. - We decided to gather all the guys, carriers, and in order to resolve this situation without threatening anyone, we stopped several Ukrainian cars, asked what was the matter, what and how. They didn’t block the roads, nothing like that, the trucks then drove on. The police, riot police, came and took away several of our guys.”
There was no information on the number of detainees and the consequences of detentions.
