The Construction Committee of St. Petersburg announced a competition for the improvement of the alluvial territory next to the Zenit Arena stadium under construction, according to public procurement materials .
"The contractor will have to perform work until December 15, 2017," the competition reports.
The initial price of the contract under the terms of the tender is 1.798 billion rubles. The source of financing is the budget of St. Petersburg. The funding limit in 2016 is 1.13 billion rubles, in 2017 - 668.23 million rubles. The contractor will be selected on March 17.
He will have to build 11 automobile driveways, a pedestrian zone and 11 parking lots on a site limited from the west of the Neva lip, from the east - a room, from the north - a rowing canal and the Middle Nevka river, from the south - the Malaya Nevka river. It is also necessary to carry out strengthening work in the alluvial territory. Part of the work should be performed in the security zone of the Primorsky Park of Victory, which is a monument of cultural heritage of regional significance.
“Zenit Arena” with a rolling field and a sliding roof has been built in the western part of the Krestovsky Island since 2007. Its total cost amounted to 34.9 billion rubles. The capacity of the arena will be 69 thousand spectators.
The estimate of the project has been adjusted many times. During this time, the cost of the stadium increased from the initially estimated 6.7 billion to 43.8 billion rubles, but then it was reduced to 34.9 billion. However, this year the contractor asks to increase it to 35.3 billion rubles, referring to a significant weakening of the ruble and the need to purchase imported equipment.
It is planned to complete the work on the construction of the stadium in 2016. Meanwhile, in early February, the auditors of the Accounts Chamber said that construction is significantly behind the approved calendar plan, but in Rostekhnadzor this was refuted, the TASS agency reported.
