
The Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation said that at present the traffic of almost 200 Ukrainian trucks has been suspended in Russia.
“To date, the situation with the blocking of the movement of Russian freight vehicles through the territory of Ukraine continues to remain unresolved. In this regard, the Rostransnadzor bodies continue to control the intensified regime in relation to Ukrainian freight vehicles located in the Russian Federation. To date, the traffic of 197 such cars has been suspended,” the ministry said .
The Ministry of Transport noted that from the part of the Ukrainian authorities there was no official notification of the suspension of transit transportation through the territory of Ukraine of cargo vehicles registered in the Russian Federation.
On February 11, Ukrainian radicals in the Transcarpathian region announced an unlimited action to block the transit of Russian trucks. Later, radical citizens in nine regions joined them: Volyn, Rivne, Lviv, Transcarpathian, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zhytomyr, Vinnitsa, Sumy and Chernivtsi. The participants in the action demanded an official ban on the movement of Russian trucks in Ukraine.
In response to these actions of Ukraine, on February 14, Russiasuspended the movement of Ukrainian trucks in the Russian Federation.
The day before, the Ukrainian government officially announced the temporary end of transit transportation by trucks registered in Russia.
