Actually, the country is in a difficult position. Everyone knows: low and unstable oil prices, salaries delay, pensions in real dimension are reduced, well, according to the little things there - the war in Syria and the like ... Diplomacy and personal contacts of state leaders in such circumstances inevitably come to the fore, since there are other instruments either, or they are so weak that they do not even work. No, seriously: Russia is now very in need of the art of diplomacy to somehow cut out of those traps where its own leadership has driven the country. Actually, this leadership itself needs the same even more even more. There, how Moscow is trying to use the problems created for the whole world in Syria to break out of international isolation, to establish itself as if not indispensable, then at least a very useful partner, maybe even get some discounts for it. It's time for the implementation of diplomatic talents.

But it seems that in the foreseeable future, such talents will not be able to show. This became obvious in the course of a non -binding exchange of views at the recent Munich conference . There, as something granted, known to almost everyone in Russia, the American congressman literally cast this in granite, using the recipe for D. A. Medvedev. It was about the Russian plan of the truce in Syria, about concluding a truce, but to continue to fight the Islamic State. And the American suddenly said : "No, it will not pass - we have already seen this movie in the east of Ukraine." So he said - "This is a movie."

A country whose leader is not embarrassed to lies in the face, there is no faith

You understand that it hooked - it’s not even that the Kremlin really can try, like in the Donbass during Debaltsev, to circle everyone around the finger, signing the papers, but continuing to bomb “who is necessary” under the cover of words about the fight against terrorists. No, this routine was hooked, with which a complete, unconditional, absolute lack of trust in anything, emanating from Russia was expressed. She might sincerely want to "bomb stop", and maybe even would do it or even do it after March 1. But they just don’t believe her anymore. Everyone, ate - reached. "We have already seen this movie in the east of Ukraine." And it will now be very difficult - and the years will take - to restore what they destroyed: trust in the country. To that country, the leader of which first says "our soldiers are not there," then - "yes, we stood behind our backs," and then - "we do not hide, and never hid what our soldiers did." There is no faith in the country whose leader is not embarrassed. And diplomacy, in the end, is lined up on the fact that you are at least listening, without rejecting from the threshold everything that you say, as a priori lie, because it is for the lie that you are caught all the last time.

So it will not work, it seems, in the near future to cut out of problems through diplomacy. Sorry, but so. Such a movie. Which the West has already seen - in the east of Ukraine.
