
Australia authorities approved the sale of Van Dieman's Land, the largest milk producer in the country, Chinese investors. It is reported by Marketwatch.
The buyer will be the businessman Lu Xianfan and Moon Lake controlled by him. The amount of the transaction will be 280 million Australian dollars ($ 202 million).
Opponents of the transaction indicated that the authorities during the sale of Van Dieman's Land did not pay attention to potential local buyers and, thus, did not take into account national interests, writes Financial Times. Meanwhile, Lu Xianfan published an article in the local newspaper in which he indicated that the agreements with Moon Lake would benefit all parties.
