Cognitive dissonance

You hear, it has already been “boasted”: the breath of the September election campaign is felt. The “Movement of the masses” began - influential groups, associations, parties, movements and other “fractions”. Such a tendency was manifested, including even in our city, an attempt to “clean up” the information space. Who are the authors of the idea whose hands is done?

In our city, all the brothers of the process of processes, including political forces, are in the hands of the KZD - groups of influential urban officials who created a city management system by redistributing resources in favor of partners in private companies.

The point is not even that these three letters are associated with the names of officials and deputies known in the city-Borshetov, Zlobin, Dvinina, who are engaged in urban housing and communal services and are responsible, in fact, for everything that has occurred in this area over the past three to four years. It's not even about these surnames! And in the created system of power, in which public and other resources are redistributed in favor of someone's personal ones. And the authorities and deputies, it turns out, “roof” this system?

We believe that the KZD also has a direct interest and is directly involved in the cleaning of the local media space. For what? So that there are only such media products in the city that we say that we are all good, which are reminiscent of advanced Soviet publications: look - the indicators are growing, look - the streets are well removed, and those enterprises that remove the streets, a new technique, is modernized by the urban economy, coupled with the training of young specialists and so on and so on. We will not argue: good news is needed, publications are needed about positive events and phenomena in our lives. But at the same time, when there are a lot of problems around, pretend that they do not exist, in fact - covering abuse and corruption.

The purpose of “positive” publications with purposeful ignoring problematic topics is to instill in people the confidence that everything is good with us and it will be even better ... However, most citizens and residents of the Kirovo-Chepetsk district see that over the past 5 years, their lives have not improved at all, but have worsened in many ways.

Prices for products and essential goods rose, and salaries fall, abbreviations are everywhere. The quality of health and education services has decreased. Look - you can’t sign up for a doctor, and the cost of drugs is growing monthly, if not weekly. You can’t get into kindergartens. And what is happening in the field of housing and communal services! It does not succumb to any description!

From all sides crisis crushes, and they inspire a person that everything is under control, and the situation is improving every day. Today, such a fashionable term has appeared that describes this situation by psychologists and psychiatrists - cognitive dissonance. When a person sees and feels one thing, and they tell him that this is completely different. And he breaks, not understanding what is actually happening.

So: the purpose of these ruling groups is to introduce people into a state of complete cognitive dissonance, to confuse and disorient. And for this it is necessary that there is no criticism! Especially analytical and reasoned. Recall that in our case we are talking about a specific group of CCD and related enterprises that want to stay in Kirovo-Chepetsk in power after the immediate elections.

Therefore, the Kirovets newspaper was destroyed, so there were attempts to eliminate other media, and these attempts were partially crowned with success. The newspaper “Our City of Kirovo-Chepetsk” remained, which says that it actually happens and does not mislead people regarding the leading city of the KZD system.


Herd effect

In 1961, the American professor ASh conducted an interesting experiment. He gathered seven people in the same room. People were announced that they would be subjected to experience in the perception of reality. In fact, the subject was one. The remaining six people were the assistants of the professor, whose goal was the misleading of the true participant in the experiment.

On the wall were drawn lines of twenty -five and thirty centimeters long. The lines were parallel, that one is longer than the others was obvious. Professor ASh asked each of those present, and six assistants in a single impulse answered that a line of twenty -five centimeters longer than the second line.

In 60% of cases, the true subject also said that the line of twenty -five centimeters is the longest. If he found that the line is thirty centimeters longer, six professor assistants began to prove their, and under their friendly pressure in 30% of cases, the subject ultimately joined the majority.

This experiment makes us think about our own conclusions, assessments and actions.
