An exhibition of Ilya Dolgova will be held in Moscow

On Tuesday, March 15, in the Gallery of Peresvetov Lane, the association “Exhibition Halls of Moscow” will open an exhibition of new graphic works of the Voronezh artist Ilya Dolgov from the Herbarium series.

The exposition will include about forty drawings - detailed emergency samples of plants collected by the artist himself. They continue the Herbarium project, which the artist first introduced in Voronezh in 2012 and received the Innovation Award for him in the nomination “Regional Project of Modern Art”.

“What is the new I want to show in Peresvetov Lane? On the one hand - nothing. On the other hand, everything is new. - says Ilya Dolgov. - New drawings of new plants, each of which for me and the question, the answer, the challenge, and the obedience lesson. What's new in the sand -pile of a wall or Peter's Cross of a scales? Why peer into the next leaves and petals, if the general concept is already known? I am trying to pull the spreading edges of the world of people and the ocean of plants. Drawings from the "Herbarium" are a glue that, here is the bad luck, only knows how to dry and crack. All the time you need the same, but new. ”

Ilya Dolgov (b. 1984) graduated from Voronezh State University, studied at the Institute of Modern Art problems in Moscow. The co -founder of the Voronezh Center for Contemporary Art (VCSI), a participant in many exhibitions in galleries, exhibition centers of Moscow and Voronezh, laureate of the Prize "Innovation VIII".

Exhibition "Only Paper. Ilya Dolgov ” in the Gallery of Peresvetov Lane will last until April 15.

The exhibition is held as part of the joint with the XL Projects program on the modern domestic drawing "Only Paper"
