Nadezhda Savchenko went on a dry hunger strike

Ukrainian pilot Nadezhda Savchenko announced a dry hunger strike. This is her response to the decision of the judge, who did not allow Savchenko to make the last word on March 3, after the speeches of the lawyers in the debate, and postponed the meeting to March 9. Previously, Savchenko demanded that the verdict in her case be pronounced within two weeks, and stated that otherwise "they would not wait for the verdict."

Lawyer Ilya Novikov, representing the interests of Savchenko, said that the decision of the judge to postpone the meeting was unexpected for the defense, reports Mediazona . The lawyer does not rule out that the court wants to resume the judicial investigation.
