The Moscow City Court upheld the decision of the Tagansky District Court of Moscow to extend the arrest of artist Pyotr Pavlensky until March 5. At the meeting on February 3, where this decision was made, the defense petitioned for the return of the materials of the case against Pavlensky to the interrogator due to the fact that the artist’s participation in the court session was not ensured, and his right to defense was violated.
On February 26, the Tagansky court decided to extend Pavlensky's arrest until April 5.
A vandalism case has been opened against Pavlensky in connection with the “Threat” action, during which he set fire to the door to the FSB building on Lubyanka. Pavlensky insists that the charge be reclassified as terrorism.
