East Cosmodrome contractors were convicted of extortion of kickbacks

The Svobodnensky City Court of the Amur Region recognized two former leaders of the Dalspetsstroy branch guilty of extortion of rollbacks from subcontractors of construction work at the Vostochny cosmodrome. This was reported by Interfax with reference to the press service of the court.

The former head of the Construction Management No. 701 Evgeny Nefedov received seven years of strict regime colony, go deputy Alexei Golub - six and a half years old. Both score a fine of a tenfold amount of commercial bribery - 5.95 million rubles.

As established by the court and the investigation, the branch and subcontractor "Dobro", who acted as the general contractor, entered into contracts for a total amount of more than 20 million rubles to carry out a set of construction and installation works at the Vostochny cosmodrome. At the same time, Nefedov and Golub told the Dobroraia general director that he should "share" with them. The subcontractor demanded 10 percent of the money received under the contract.

The press service of the court notes that for the period from September 2013 to March 2014, Dobrostroy, Dobrostroy, transferred and personally transferred to extortionists 595 thousand rubles.

Golub and Nefedov did not admit their guilt. However, at the disposal of the court there were testimony of witnesses, the results of the operational-search activity conducted by the employees of the regional FSB and the police, as well as accounting and financial documents. In addition, during the preliminary investigation, Golub gave a confession, which later refused.

On September 11, it was reported that the investigation revealed theft during the construction of the Eastern Cosmodrome in the amount of almost 5.4 billion rubles. "The investigation of criminal cases is ongoing. The investigation is conducting actions on the territory of more than 20 subjects of the country," a source in law enforcement agencies noted. In connection with the construction of the cosmodrome, more than 20 criminal cases related to theft of funds, abuse of authority, and delays in the payment of salaries of workers were instituted.

Vostochny cosmodrome has been built near the village of Uglegorsk in the Amur Region since 2011. In the "Strategies for the Development of Space Activities until 2030" he assigned the role of the main start of the start of the new generation missiles .

Previously, the first launch of the Soyuz missile with an unpility spacecraft from the Vostochny cosmodrome was planned on December 25, 2015. At the end of September, sources in the space industry reported that Roscosmos would postpone the first launch from the eastern due to the unpreparedness of the infrastructure. The current norms do not allow Roscosmos to be accepted by the general contractor - special construction - an object in its current form. In addition, equipment supplies are delayed.

On October 14, President Vladimir Putin said that the construction of the Vostochny cosmodrome must be completed without assault . According to him, it was possible to reduce the lag behind construction plans from eight months to four. "Turn down to the first launches in 2016, in the spring, if you do it by the Cosmonautics Day, then it is good. If not, then the assault is not needed," the president said.
