Renault confirmed the resignation of Bu Anderson from the post of head of AvtoVAZ

The AvtoVAZ Contractor shareholder of the Renault-Nissan Alliance officially announced the departure of Bu Andersson from the post of head of the car concerns. According to RBC, the company's press service indicates that the name of the new head of the company will be announced on the Council of Directors on March 15.

"Today, the Alliance Rostec Auto BV company announced that Bu Inge Andersson will leave the post of head of AvtoVAZ OJSC. On March 15, a meeting of the AvtoVAZ board is planned, which will be announced who will be replaced by Andersson. His successor will head the following stage of the company's withdrawal," the report said in the message Renault Russia.

Earlier it became known that the general director of Rostec Sergey Chemezov agreed to resign Andersson. He did not clarify what exactly such a decision was dictated, saying only that now the company "needs a new person".

Andersson himself has not yet commented on information about his dismissal. Official representatives of Renault and AvtoVAZ also refused to comment.

According to RBC, the Andersson’s contract recorded target indicators, the main of which is to achieve a market share of 20 percent and the “AvtoVAZ” output to the level of batteryness at 6 percent of operational profitability. In the meantime, not one of the conditions has been fulfilled. According to the results of 2015, the plant received a record loss of 74 billion rubles in history. This is three times more than a year earlier. The loss from operating activities has grown more than eight times, to 66.8 billion rubles. At the end of 2015, the AvtoVAZ market share amounted to 16.8 percent.

The Swedish citizen Andersson headed AvtoVAZ in 2014. Prior to this, he led the Russian automotive company for four years, and spent the bulk of his career at General Motors.

At the end of January it was reported that AvtoVAZ will reduce salaries to employees by 20 percent.
