Meldonium was found in the doping test of a player of the Russian national volleyball team

In the doping test of the player of the Russian national volleyball team and Moscow "Dynamo" Alexander Markin, a prohibited drug meldonium was found. This was announced to the R-Sport agency by the All-Russian Volleyball Federation.

Earlier, cyclist Eduard Vorganov was convicted of using meldonium.
• Figure skater Ekaterina Bobrova, who will miss the Boston World Championships due to a positive doping test, said she last took meldonium in November 2015. A doping test was taken from her after the European Championship in Bratislava, which ended on January 31 (at the tournament Bobrova and her partner Dmitry Solovyov won bronze medals in ice dancing). At the same time, the amount of the prohibited substance indicated in the doping test notification could “enter the body no earlier than a day before testing,” the athlete claims .
