Upon learning of the doping problem of Maria Sharapova, I experienced the greatest grief. Tennis is one of the few sports that I am interested in. This girl gave me a lot of joy, and I will be grateful to her for this, no matter what. On the court, she laid out to the bottom, to the last drop, and, of course, deserved her glory and our love. I do not consider myself deceived.

I waited for the long -term rival of Masha Serena Williams to speak about what happened. You can’t call their relations friendly. They often exchanged cobbles. And anger was not only sports. Once Serena put it like this: “She has every interview with the words“ I'm so happy! I was so lucky! "Bright ..." then Mary had an affair with the former boyfriend of Serena Grigor Dimitrov.

A few days later, Sharapov was asked at a press conference what she was thinking about it. “Let it better talk about her achievements, and not about strangers,” said Maria. “And if she goes to persons, let her talk about her relationship with a married man who is now breeding and who has children.”

A married man, Serena's coach Patrick Muratoglu, also got involved in the exchange of courtesies. The sports community watched this soap opera with embarrassment.

But yesterday Serena was on top. She said that Maria acted courageously, taking full responsibility for what had happened. When asked if she believes that she was in an unequal position in matches with Sharapova, she replied that she should not ask her about it.

In only one place, something like a thickening resentment slipped. “In sports and in life,” said Williams, “there are double standards. Everyone knows this, whether it is a race or floor. Be that as it may, there is another thing.”

These words cannot be compared with the boorish sexism of Shamil Tarpishchev, who called the Williams sisters “Williams brothers” in the talk show.

The resentment of Serena is understandable and excusable. She is better than Sharapova playing tennis. But Sharapova is a beautiful blonde and therefore earns more money. And nothing can be done about it.

Sharapova is not just famous. She is an idol and a megazvezd to match the primary sofas of Hollywood. Therefore, in the history of doping they will be dealt with thoroughly.

Too brief press conference of Sharapova in Los Angeles left a feeling of lack of nothing. Maria was tense. We agree that it is not easy to publicly list your health problems, even if there is nothing shameful, a young woman is not easy for a young woman. The presented journalists were not ready for the subject of the conversation - perhaps, and really were waiting for statements about leaving the sport, as the culprit of the event suggested, jokes that she would have done this in the hall not with such a ugly carpet. Now, retroactively, they weigh every word she said.

Firstly, she said that she has been taking the drug for ten years. Secondly, what her doctor gave her ("Family Doctor", she specified). However, the doctor was absent at a press conference, and refused to name his name Sharapov - said that the responsibility lies entirely on her, because it was her body and only she is responsible for what she does with him. She also said that only after receiving the test results, she found out that the Mildronat she was accepting, and Meldonium, banned from January 1, the World Anti -Doping Agency, is the same.

Of course, it is difficult to imagine that among those who work with an athlete of this class, there is no specialist who is able to monitor the updates of the VADA list and determine whether the medicine contains the prohibited substance. But it’s even more difficult to imagine an American doctor who prescribes a medication that is not approved by the FDA - the Office for Products and Medicine Control. And Milronat is not approved. The American doctor can do this in two cases: if his patient is involved in the clinical trials of the drug or if the patient is severely sick and there is no other way to improve his well -being. In this case, the doctor receives a special resolution of FDA.

Of course, Sharapova took the medicine, as she herself put it, "legally." But are the doctor’s actions legal? However, on Russian sites, Mildronate can be bought without any recipe. And in the indications for use it is written that Milronate is appointed athletes "in mental and physical exertion." And no Wada is a decree for us. The only manufacturer of Mildronate is the Latvian company Grindex .

Given the recent cases of the detection of meldonium in the blood of five more Russian athletes and several foreign (including two Ukrainian biathletes, two Ethiopian runners and one Turkish), should the connection of these facts should be assumed? I don’t know how in Ethiopia, but in the USA they didn’t hear about Mildronate. But the family doctor Sharapova knows from somewhere.

However, between Maria Sharapova and athletes and even skaters there is a fundamental difference. They win competitions for the sake of monetary prizes (who share with doctors and coaches who poisoned their doping). And Sharapova earns mainly on advertising, and her reputation is more expensive for her. It is doubtful that she risked so much of her own free will.
