Activist Alexander Makarov, who was detained at a rally in support of Nadezhda Savchenko on March 7 near the FSB building and spent more than two days in custody, was released after the Meshchansky District Court fined him a thousand rubles. Makarov was the only one of those detained on March 7 who was left at the police station for the night, as he refused to sign an obligation to appear. At the moment, there is no exact information about which particular article (or articles) on Makarov was protocol(s). Judging by the amount of the fine, it should have been about disobedience to police officers (Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), however, it was previously reported that protocols were drawn up against all detainees on March 7 under Part 5 of Art. 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses. Vera Lavreshina, who was detained along with Makarov, told OVD-Info that she herself had not signed the protocols and had not seen them, but, as she remembers, protocols under both articles were drawn up for everyone.
Later it became known that two protocols were indeed drawn up against Makarov, but in the Tverskoy Court, apparently, only the case under Art. 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.
According to the latest information, Makarov is going to the Meshchansky police department to pick up his things. According to Lavreshina, who contacted Makarov, he filed numerous petitions with the court, alleging unlawful detention, demanding that witnesses be called, and also complaining that he was being held in custody for more than the 48 hours required by law.
