In the south-east of Moscow, a domestic gas explosion occurred in a residential building. A source in the emergency services told Interfax about this.

He said that the incident occurred on the eighth floor of the building located at the address: st. 2nd Kabelnaya, building 6. “The explosion was followed by a fire,” the agency’s interlocutor added. Assistant to the head of the capital department of the Investigative Committee, Yulia Ivanova, in turn, told RIA Novosti that, according to preliminary data, one person died as a result. However, later the Investigative Committee denied this information. According to them, five people were injured, including two children aged one and eight years.

In turn, an Interfax source reported that one person was injured as a result of the explosion. He noted that a resident of one of the apartments in the building was injured, and he is now hospitalized in serious condition.

According to a RIA Novosti source in the emergency services, according to preliminary data, the explosion occurred during work on installing suspended ceilings.
