Eldar Ryazanov Museum will appear in Samara

The City Hall of Samara intends to create a museum dedicated to Eldar Ryazanov. He will open in the house where the director lived.

“It is planned to place the museum in house number 120 on Frunze Street. It was here that the Ryazanov family’s apartment was located, where the future director spent the first month of his life. The family returned here in August 1941 and spent a year in military evacuation, ”the press service of the Samara City Hall quoted TASS .

Eldar Ryazanov (1937–2015) was born in Samara, where the family of his mother lived. In 2012, the director was awarded the title of Honorary Citizen of Samara. In early December 2015, it became known that they plan to erect a monument to Ryazanov in the city and a memorial plaque was opened in his honor.

Now in the former Ryazan apartment there is an accounting department of the city department of property management. In total, the municipality on the ground floor of this house belongs to about 128 sq.m, on this area it is planned to place a museum.

The concept of the museum will be developed by May of this year. A memorial plaque will also be opened on the house, the square near the house will be landscaped.
