On March 10, in Samara, Ekaterina Gerasimova, chairwoman of the regional branch of the Progress Party, was fined 10,000 rubles for organizing an uncoordinated rally on May 6, 2015. This is written by Novaya Gazeta in the Volga region.
In May 2015, a single picket was held in Samara, in which Gerasimova did not take part, but watched from the sidelines. The picket was attended by members of the National Liberation Movement (NOM), who tried to provoke the picketer and spectators, filmed their actions on a video camera. The same members of the NOD later wrote a statement to the police about holding an allegedly uncoordinated picket.
The protocol on administrative violation was drawn up only on October 30, and the preliminary court session took place on December 2.
The first hearing took place in early February at the Oktyabrsky District Court. Only Gerasimova was present at this meeting, representatives of the police did not come to the process. She explained that the deadlines for drawing up the protocol were unreasonably delayed, and the alleged offense was described incorrectly in the protocol, the newspaper writes.
The second hearing took place at the end of February. The head of the Samara NOD, Dmitry Gurenkov, called Gerasimova the organizer of the picket because “she had an orderly tone and a commanding voice,” with the help of which she allegedly led the process. Another member of the NOD, Andrei Tinkov, said that Gerasimova had a "fatherly tone of voice."
The third and final court session took place on March 10. A district police officer was summoned to this meeting, who directly drew up a protocol on the offense. The district police commissioner of PS No. 6, Dmitry Erekaykin, stated that the reason for opening the case was solely the materials of the check at the request of members of the NOD. As evidence, a video was presented, which was filmed by the participants of the NOD.
According to the district police officer, Gerasimova is guilty of allegedly participating in a public meeting, for which there was no permission. And during this meeting, a conflict situation arose.
