He became the fifth defendant in the case of embezzlement in the Ministry of Culture.
Earlier on Wednesday, the court arrested Deputy Minister of Culture of Russia Grigory Pirumov, as well as Oleg Ivanov, head of the Tsentrrestavratsiya institution subordinate to the ministry, and Boris Mazo, director of the property management department of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
Pirumov is suspected of organizing a criminal group to steal 50 million rubles when concluding contracts for restoration work.
On the eve of the FSB opened a criminal case against senior officials of the Ministry of Culture in connection with suspicion of embezzlement of money for the restoration of cultural heritage.
