The Oktyabrsky Court of Murmansk did not bring to administrative responsibility the leader of the Communist Party faction in the regional legislative assembly, Gennady Stepakhno, who was charged with organizing an uncoordinated event.
According to the TV-21 television company, the court was talking about the Antiplaton action, which took place in Murmansk in December 2015 and consisted of a procession and a picket. The event was not coordinated with the local authorities. The police believed that Stepakhno was its organizer. The deputy stated in court that he was not the organizer, but simply took part in the action. “The police failed to prove the opposite when considering the case in court, and as a result, the court found Gennady Stepakhno not guilty,” the TV company said in a statement.
