A first-year student at the Russian State Social University said that students are being forced to attend a concert in honor of the anniversary of the annexation of Crimea.
Students were sent SMS notifications with the text: “Friday. 18th of March. Concert dedicated to the reunification of Russia and Crimea "We are together". 150 students from 14:00 in the afternoon. Let's go in the first presidential column!" For this, the students were promised tickets to the cinema.
Another student said that attendance at the concert is mandatory only for those who did not attend the events and did not pass the practice.
At the same time, Maria Mayorova, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Law for educational work, explained that the university simply invites students to attend the holiday and there will be no sanctions for refusing to go.
One of the students from another university, the Moscow State Pedagogical University, also declared a “strong recommendation” to attend the concert.
