A crowd of people in masks attacked a member of the Human Rights Council in the Center of Grozny
A few days ago, unknown in masks brutally beat journalists and human rights activists from the organization "Committee on Combating torture" on the way from Ingushetia to Grozny. Some representatives of the Chechen authorities then called the attack (by the way, here they collect money to help the seriously injured driver of the burned bus Bashir Pliev) provocation - and the Commissioner for Human Rights in Chechnya said that the “Kalyapin’s handwriting” was visible in the attack - the head of the committee against the torture of Igor Kalyapin, who is mildly, to to put it mildly with Ramzan Kadyrov.
Only a few days have passed ...
Just at the entrance to the Grozny City Hotel attacked Igor Kalyapin. They beat, threw eggs

Eyewitnesses of attacks in the very center of Grozny were journalists - including Radio Liberty correspondent.

In Grozny, people in masks attacked Igor Kalyapin, chairman of the “Committee on Prevention of Torture”, a person of enormous resistance and real fearlessness.
This punks are sure that, having attacked a grim, throwing a cake, eggs or something else, they humiliated and disgraced their enemy.
And, in my opinion, this photograph is a symbol of dignity and courage.
Here is a real time machine: a person from the 21st century is two centuries earlier. The attraction is not for the faint of heart. Kalyapin hero, of course.
With steel eggs, a man. I did not know anything about him to the "dog of Kalyap" from Daudov. Now I respect this person.
About what preceded the attack was written on Facebook by Igor Kalyapin himself:
Briefly about the incident itself.
About 18 o’clock, I settled in the number 2401 Grozny-City Stateities. After about 40 minutes, two journalists and the operator came to me, who, while still in Ingushetia, spoke to give an interview as soon as I arrive in Grozny. When we started to record the interview, we knocked on the door. A man came in, about 60 years old, who introduced himself as the general director of the hotel, a black guard and some other middle -aged man. The director told me that since I am criticizing the head of Chechnya and the Chechen police, and he loves Ramzan Akhmatovich very much, I have to leave the hotel. I told him that his actions were illegal and asked me to give me a certificate that I was evicted for not I like Kadyrov. He said: "Look for fools in the mirror." After that, I was reduced down, where a crowd of women detained me, about 30 people, clearly hastily assembled from employees of the hotel and boutiques located on the ground floor. All of them began to scream in unison - how you dare to speak badly about Ramzan. To my attempts to answer at least, they shouted loudly - we do not want to listen to you. Nevertheless, they did not let me leave the hotel. I understood that they specially detained me, waiting for the arrival of the slave team. But I still had nowhere to go or run. <...> The rest is known.
There were about 15 attackers, their faces covered masks. As a result, according to the results of the attack, only his victim was taken to the police. Here is a continuation of the story, writes Kalyapin :
I called a friend of the investigator-vazyak from the Investigative Committee, who, in the way, was in Grozny. He also did not have time, but at least he took me from the city department and took me to Pyatigorsk.
As for the national topic, while in interrogation, I considered it necessary to give one single interview to Macisma Shevchenko, in which he said and repeat once again that attacked me - not Chechens and not Muslims. Since the 95th year in Chechnya, I know what real Chechens are and understand the difference between Chechen and Kadyrovts.
“Non -Chechens who attacked me are not Muslims,” Kalyapin writes in the FB. Because the Kadyrovites ≠ Chechens and Muslims https://t.co/9i761H52BO

Many remembered that the authorities of Chechnya had a long history of confrontation with Kalyapin - last year the office of his organization in Grozny was defeated, Igor Kalyapin became the hero of the campaign against the enemies of the people, launched by Kadyrov in January.

The reasons for such hostility can be understood by looking, for example, this is Kalyapin's interview:
Igor Kalyapin: someday in the Investigative Committee, a closet with criminal cases against the Kadyrovites https://t.co/dsmolh3iw6 will collapse
- PERZIAN ROISIS (@Kermlinrussia) MARCH 16, 2016
Here, however, there is an important nuance.
Pay attention to the screensaver in the FB of Kalyapin - a large jeep of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation. And from Grozny he was taken out by the acquaintance "investigator-vazyak." So the words about the call of Putin and, in any case, Moscow - probably not only words.
The fact is that Igor Kalyapin is a member of the Human Rights Council under the President of Russia.
Listen, I can’t understand one thing. I would be grateful if anyone breaks.
Here, for example, Kalyapin. Which in Grozny has just been attacked once again.
He is not just “Grantosos”, “Foreign Agent”, “National Representative”. Not Kasyanov or, say, Yashin - who "go to Brussels for instructions."
He is actually a member of the Presidential Council.
And what, it turns out that Vladimir Vladimirovich is holding on his council of a terrorist and shakal?
What is trying, apparently, to convince Ramzan Akhmatovich - however, in some unobvious way, in particular, burning a bus with foreign journalists in the territory of a neighboring republic [by the very indignation of Yevkurov, by the way].
This, ahem, is normal at all?

Evgeny Roizman doubted the ability of the HRC to protect his member:
In Chechnya, they simply wipe their legs on the Human Rights Council under the President of the Russian Federation. Demonstratively. How do members of the HRC feel? Is it pleased to them?
- Vladislav Naganov (@naganoff_ru) march 16, 2016
A humiliating story. I think that in this situation, the Human Rights Council under the President of the Russian Federation must be self -exposed. Out of respect for yourself

Special Presidential Chic: to introduce a human rights activist into the President of the President of Human Rights, then indifferent to observe attacks on him

There are, as they say, good news:
For 10 years, Ramzan Akhmatovich has made a long way from the golden Stechkins to the Hosiyurt eggs. This is progress.
By the way, the already mentioned Ombudsman Nukhazhiev proposed to initiate a case against Milashina (Novaya Gazeta correspondent, who, in particular, wrote about a strange wedding of a minor and police chief).
Ramzan Akhmatovich can play out.
Kidding.
Not such a dad Doc, so that the main tonton-makut is encroaching. Tonton -makuts are an inescapable value for some time now.
On the other hand, Papa Doc began just with the strengthening of mountain academics wholesale. So you can finish playing in theory.
Bets on the fact that Kadyrov can "finish", perhaps, increased after this post of Maxim Shevchenko - Man Among public figures, in general loyal regime, not the last: not the last:
The attack in Grozny on Igor Kalyapin is an abomination, meanness and vileness.
Young rednecks mocked a crowd of a middle -aged man - these villains can be neither Chechens nor Muslims, even if they consider themselves to be such.
Chechens are a noble people who do not mock guests, even those with whom they are at war.
The Great Vazha Pshavela described how Chechens behave in the poem "Guest" - they are ready to give their lives for the sake of honor and dignity, providing a shelter of the enemy.
The shame of this attack on Igor Kalyapin can only be corrected by a fair and tough assessment of what happened by the Chechen leadership, apologies for Igor Kalyapin from the attackers and the punishment of the perpetrators.
Among other things, this attack is a personal challenge to Vladimir Putin, the President of the Russian Federation. <....>
I remember the Chechen people in terrible grief and humiliation. I remember how the Chechens were killed, tortured, shot, robbed, rested into filtration camps, destroyed their cities and villages, and defiled their water and air.
Many Russian and non -Russian were jointly in solidarity with Chechens in their grief.
What happened today with the young inhabitants of Grozny that they allow themselves this?
What should enter into the soul and heart of a person so that he decides on such meanness is an attack by a crowd on an unarmed intellectual?
It is curious that even the main Caucasophile Shevchenko in the country could not stand it.
Leonardych, oh!
Leonardych!
There will be something.
On the other hand - what will happen?
Probably, tomorrow some Chechen in a great position will say about an attack on Igor Kalyapin that “all this is done by enemies in order to undermine the authority of the Chechen people, led by Kadyrov, but they will not succeed!”
Here, for example, is a characteristic reaction:
Lawyer Zaurbekov: Kalyapina no one beat https://t.co/ycj80bicwq
- ChGTRK "Grozny" (@tvgrozny) MARCH 16, 2016
Dmitry Efremov: This is a natural reaction of the Civil Society of Chechnya to the appearance of Igor Kalyapin https://t.co/yllafd2s6l
- ChGTRK "Grozny" (@tvgrozny) MARCH 16, 2016
No one beat, but this is a natural reaction. Everything, of course, is logical. With the position of Grozny media, some commentators are in solidarity:
@U2_keen what a beauty! Though in Grozny - it has begun, it's time - it is high time to crush the enemies of the people! You like democracy in Ukraine! Get it!
- Smershin (@smershin) march 16, 2016
What are you talking about? !! Whoever betrays the homeland immediately needs to wet !!!
That like the second Saakashvili would not appear sharply !!!!
So I respect the actions of the Chechen people !!!!
The topic of "provocation" is also raised.
The fact that the eggs and the cake were launched in Kalyapin - I believe, but what was beaten as the media wrote was not believed !!! And I do not exclude that Kalyapin himself arranged for himself! For a long time I suspected that with the name of Kalyapin there would be some kind of provocation ...
There are those who ask the question, “why Kalyapin travels to Grozny” (knowing that they are unlikely to meet a hospitable reception):
@U2_keen @svobodaradio is he going here? Prevents torture?!, But I pay tribute to his courage. Although he can’t prevent him from torture
- Samuil Duki (@Dukisamuil) MARCH 16, 2016
In general, flooding against Kadyrov and attempts to climb there is a wildly rotten story. Because the comrades of human rights activists will quickly double in the EU, and the Russians will die about the Russians on the third Chechen.
It can be answered that then it would be honest to consider Chechnya to consider the territory where the laws of the Russian Federation are respected - it is still more correct, as Oleg Kashin recently proposed, to say that the attack was not “in Chechnya”, but “in Russia”.
In Russia, the advanced detachments - gopniks were abandoned to fight the "fifth column", as always. They even do not have enough courage without masks to rush into eggs.
The head of the “Committee against torture” Igor Kalyapin was evicted from the hotel, beaten, thrown into eggs and pouring green in the city of Grozny, the capital of the Chechen Republic, and the subcector of the Russian Federation.
Many commentators, however - especially under the impression of the text of Maxim Shevchenko - address their questions not to the Russian authorities, but to the Chechen people.
Not ridiculous kin-dza-dza ... ashamed of Chechens who became brainless puppets
Ramzan Kadyrov is a shame on Russia and the bastard of Russia.
And yes, Chechens should explain themselves based on the results of everything that has been happening in recent months, that they are not like that. In order for this to be not perceived as the acts of all Chechens, Chechens should speak.
I absolutely agree with you. To silence it means insulting the entire Chechen people with condescending!
Residents of Grozny, it turns out, love torture and do not like those who are against torture. By the way, I had already thought several times, this is that in Chechnya no one regrets the murdered Boris Nemtsov, who once collected a million signatures for the termination of the war in Chechnya, in any case, no one decided, it seems, to raise his voice in defense of his memory, this is in a pro-visionary sense that it means? This is an interesting, tormenting question that is related to Russia.
Kirill, and in 1937, did someone openly stood up for those who were taken to shoot? Units. How many people in Putin were killed in Chechnya and disappeared without a trace? So it is not correct to moralize.
In any case, it is obvious that the story will be continued.
Here you need to understand the specifics of the region. If for us from the outside it looks like another "non -vinity", but to tell the Chechens that he is not a Chechen at all is a serious insult in general. We are used to the fact that we are here in the fins and the Mongols of the name (including human rights activists), therefore we do not see such moments.
In confirmation of the thesis is the worst hearing that the Chechens retell in a whisper - that Kadyrov, it turns out, is a Dagestan! It seems like Chechen speaks badly.
Such an entertaining ethnography.
Peskov commented on the situation.
The press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov does not believe that the attack in Chechnya on a member of the Presidential Council of Human Rights Igor Kalyapin may somehow affect the decision on the further stay of the head of the republic Ramzan Kadyrov as a decision. “I would not have linked this situation with Kadyrov’s powers,” he told reporters. “This is due to the criminal situation. This is probably not the best indicator for evaluating the criminal situation.”
"Peskov called the attack on the human rights activist Kalyapin unacceptable." Of course, I would like, of course, a list of people on whom are acceptable.
- IVAN DAVYDOV (@ivan_f_davydov) march 17, 2016
And now, perhaps, the main conclusion from what happened.
If human rights activists treat this, it’s scary to imagine what is happening with ordinary people.
