The Center for Combating Extremism detained nationalist Vyacheslav Datsik, who was released from a colony in Krasnoyarsk today. this to Rosbalt Datsik’s mother Svetlana reported .

The paddy wagon, according to her, was standing at the exit from the colony; it took Datsik, also known as Red Tarzan, to the prosecutor's office of the Oktyabrsky district of Krasnoyarsk. Moreover, the reason for this was a statement from Svetlana herself, who complained to the supervisory agency that her son was taken out of IK-31 in an unknown direction several weeks ago.

According to the nationalist’s mother, the prosecutor’s office took him to the Krasnoyarsk center for combating extremism.

The Krasnoyarsk department of the Federal Penitentiary Service confirmed to RBC Petersburg that Datsik was released .

In 2007, Datsik, who is also a former world champion in martial arts, was detained on suspicion of robbing cell phone stores in St. Petersburg. After an examination, it turned out that the nationalist was insane; he was sent for compulsory treatment to a psychiatric clinic. In 2010, he escaped from there.

Later, Datsik and his accomplice Pyotr Stepanov tried to burn down the Church of St. Seraphim of Vyritsky in St. Petersburg Kupchino. Datsik managed to escape, he headed to Norway, came to one of the immigration offices in Oslo with a loaded pistol and an ax and asked for political asylum. Datsik was refused, and a Norwegian court in December 2010 sentenced him to eight months in prison for illegally carrying weapons.

In March 2011, the nationalist was deported to Russia. A repeated psychiatric examination found him fully sane. In 2012, he was found guilty by the court under Part 1 of Article 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (robbery, that is, an attack for the purpose of stealing someone else’s property, committed with the use of violence dangerous to life or health, or with the threat of such violence). The court dropped the charges against him for setting the temple on fire. As wrote Kommersant with reference to the court decision, this happened due to the fact that he was extradited as accused only of robbery. The court also dismissed the case against Stepanov due to the prosecutor's office dropping charges.

The Nevsky District Court of St. Petersburg found Datsik guilty of robbery, but excluded the qualifier “using a weapon” from the charge. The nationalist was sentenced to five years in prison in a general regime colony.
