The alleged participant in Parisian terrorist attacks last November was detained on Friday during a police raid in Belgium

Paris will take all the necessary steps to extradite to France a suspect of involvement in the November terrorist attacks in the French capital Salah Abdeslam. This was stated by French President Francois Hollande at a joint press conference with Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel.

On Friday evening, during the joint operation of the Belgian and French intelligence services, the alleged terrorist Abdeslam was detained in the suburbs of Brussels - Molenbek. The lawyer of Sama Maktuf, representing the interests of relatives of the victims of terrorist attacks on November 13, also previously said that she would immediately file a request for the extraction of the detainee on their behalf.

So far, the wounded during his arrest, Salah Abdeslam is in the hospital. As soon as his condition allows, he will appear before the Belgian judge. As the French edition of Le Monde notes in this regard, this should happen in the coming hours, given that, according to Belgian law, a suspected of terrorist activity cannot be under preliminary arrest for more than 24 hours (in France - longer than six days). The judge must announce what accusations of the Belgian and French sides are brought against him. In Belgium, Abdeslam could be condemned for the provision of armed resistance to police officers. However, given that in France he is charged with aiding in the implementation of mass murder, participating in a terrorist group, the use of explosives, storage of weapons and many other offenses, few are in doubt that Abdeslam will be extracted in the near future.

The French authorities must submit to this the European order for the arrest of a suspect terrorist. Since 2002, this procedure allows the countries to participate in the EU to the mutual issuance of suspects, even when it comes to their citizens. In the case of Salah Abdeslam, no bureaucratic obstacles are expected, since we are talking about a French citizen and the crimes of which he is suspected were committed in France. In the event of his conviction in France, Salah Abdesslam threatens a life imprisonment.

Salah Abdeslam is 26 years old. According to the investigation, in the organization of terrorist attacks on November 13 in Paris, he at least was responsible for logistics: he rented cars on which terrorists moved, as well as rooms in hotels; He brought three terrorists-suicide bombers to the "stadium of France" in a suburbs of Paris Saint-Denis.
According to Le Monde, further actions of the suspect cause a number of questions among investigators. Having landed three suicide bombers in Saint-Deni, Abdeslam went to Paris on the rented Renault Clio. He left the car in the 18th district of the capital and, having a suicide baid with him, went to the Internet cafe, where he purchased a mobile phone and a prepaid SIM card. This probably indicates that Abdeslam was supposed to undermine himself there, but for some reason refused the initial plan. Not far from there, in the town of Shatiyon, on the night of November 13-4, Abdeslam expected his two comrades, who, after his call, came from Belgium to take him out of France. At 9:10 a.m. on November 14, their car passed a police check near the city of Cambra in the north of France, but at that moment their personalities were not yet known and they were allowed to freely drive.

The Belgian authorities Salah Abdeslam have been known since the summer of 2015, when he tried to go to Syria, but this information was not transferred to the French. The car of three fugitives on the way from Paris to Brussels was checked three times, and each time they continuously continued. On the afternoon of November 14, their trace was lost. In the last four months, no official information has been received about the whereabouts of Abdeslam. There were rumors that he managed to go to Syria or Morocco.
