At the end of last week, the leaders of the European Union for the second time this month, with an interval of only 10 (!) Days gathered in Brussels to discuss the migration crisis with Turkey. This means only one thing: the previous meeting, contrary to the bravura statements of the chairman of the European Council Donald Tusk, did not lead to anything. Rather, she brought only on paper. In the meeting room, only two people looked frankly satisfied: the Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel and the Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu. In the text of the final communique was exactly what they agreed among themselves: they say, the EU and Türkiye are ready to implement the “one per one” plan. The essence of the plan: each illegal migrant who has been transit to Greece through Turkish territory, which Türkiye will take back, Europe will then be taken out of Turkey and adopt on its legal basis. The goal is clear: to close the Balkan Route, which began to cause too much trouble to Europeans. However, having familiarized themselves with the text of the Communist, the leaders of many other EU states turned the dumb gaze to Mrs. Merkel: and who will accept these refugees? And where to take it? And for what quota? And in general, why does Germany agree with Turkey behind the others and on their behalf? And where, by the way, did this final communique come, because they initially coordinated a completely different text? It was possible to avoid the scandal - they agreed without hemding to gather and discuss everything again. However, Ankara, having guessed the scatter and staggering in the European ranks, sharply raised bets: in exchange for help in solving the migration crisis, it now requires not € 3 billion, but € 6 billion plus the abolition of the visa regime since July this year, plus the acceleration of the negotiation process about its entry into the EU. “This is blackmail” - such assessments of Turkish behavior prevail in many European capitals. But there is nowhere to retreat - Merkel and her environment are firmly intended to resolve the crisis with migrants, no matter what it costs. Her fears are largely related to the situation in Germany itself, where the system parties, primarily the CDS and the SDPG, are faced with the growing competition of Euro -digitics and the ultra -right: in the recent land elections, the anti -immigrant party “Alternative for Germany” won three lands at once, and in 2017, according to forecasts, will be held in the Bundestag. And this is in Germany, one of the supporting supports of the European Union.
However, officials in Brussels are no less than Merkel, they already had to face their, intra -European blackmail - from the side of Britain, which threatened the exit from the EU in case Brussels refuses it in a number of preferences. The lack of an agreement with Turkey against the backdrop of the success of the far -right in Germany will sharply raise the chances of British EuroSrotics on the eve of the referendum on June 23 on the membership of Britain in the EU. And if Britain leaves, commentators-pessimists warn, then the pan-European house will behave clearly in accordance with the “Domino Principle”-it will begin to crumble at the joy of aggressive and unpredictable Russia. In the European (and American) press, preliminary articles are multiplied: the Kremlin’s policy enraged by the EU (and Germany, in particular) in the Ukrainian crisis, today is clearly aimed at heating centrifugal tendencies in Europe, including through financial support of Euroskeptics: no coincidence of the French National Front Marine Le Pen, which received € 9 million in 2014 to protect the Kremlin. In the European Russian Bank (ERB)-the Czech “daughter” of the first Czech-Russian bank (LECRB), now intends to ask for € 25 million in Moscow for its election campaign-2017. Some famous personalities, such as a billionaire filanthrope George Soros: where budget deficit is about to reach 7% of the glance, at full It goes to the economic collapse in pairs, it will come in 2017, so Putin is the most effective way to avoid this is to arrange the EU collapse even earlier. In the ability of the EU to withstand the burden of three crises-migration, financial and economic-began to express public doubts and serious economists, for example, ex-member of the Board of Directors of the Euro-Central Bank Jurgen Stark: “The likelihood of disintegration of the European Union is the maximum history of its existence,” the Switzer newspaper NEUE ZüRcher recently quoted the Starka. Zeitung.
So what to wait? Will Britain leave the EU? Will the European Union fall apart? And does such a scenario answer the real interests of Russia? This is the main theme of this number.
