The verdict of Nadezhda Savchenko

March 21 at 11:00 in the Donetsk City Court of the Rostov Region, the sentence of the Ukrainian pilot Nadezhda Savchenko will begin. The prosecutor requested her 23 years in a colony. The sentence will take two days.

At a court hearing on March 3, in connection with the transfer of the sentence, Savchenko declared a dry hunger strike and held it for a week. Then she began to drink water.

The prosecutor asked the total term to be appointed by partial addition to the terms for two imputed pilots. According to the points “A”, “E”, “l” of part 2 of Article 105 (the murder in the generally hazardous way of two or more persons based on political hatred, perfect by the group of persons), he demanded for Savchenko 18 years of the colony, for part 3 of Article 30 - paragraphs “A”, “E”, “F”, “L” of part 2 of Article 105 (attempt on the same crime) - 13 years.

In addition, the prosecutor requested a fine of 100 thousand rubles for the pilot in part 1 of Article 322 of the Criminal Code (illegal crossing of the border).

Savchenko herself emphasized that she acted legally, defending her country. The defense side convincingly proved that at the time of the death of journalists, it was in Russian territory.
