The Mozhaisk educational colony has always been presented by the FSIN as “exemplary”, but human rights activists from the public observation commission say that the institution has an atmosphere of fear. On the night of February 22, a riot occurred here, in which 55 out of 75 pupils participated.
The FSIN said that the reason is the refusal to free one of the pupils conditionally. The Investigative Committee is sure that adolescents tried to achieve a weakening of the regime - to get the right to smoke in the territory and use mobile phones.
Judging by the 23 statements that adolescents wrote to the PMC near Moscow after the rebellion, the real reason may be a cruel attitude of the staff - constant beating and bullying. According to the pupils themselves, they were subjected to beatings and humiliations in the first days of their stay in the colony. Employees dipped teenagers with their heads in the toilet, beat, forced to walk with a goose step under a hail of strokes with rubber sticks and there are drawings, poems and even matches found during the search.
The slightest violations of order, as in many "adult" colonies, are punishable by beatings. At the same time, the number of blows is sometimes determined not by the nature of the misconduct, but by the imagination of the employee - one of the statements describes the case when the pupil was hit 23 times because this happened on February 23.
In order to get a blow with a stick, the convicted person does not have to break the charter. 16-year-old Ivan Kuchin told how an employee of the colony regularly beat him in the face for no reason and sentenced him: “How are you, Vanyusha?”
Employee Denis Davydov, according to pupils, forces convicts to teach poetry, and those who do not learn - beat. Most of all, Davydov likes Pushkin’s poem dedicated to his namesake-Gusar-“Denis Davydov”: “Singer-Gusar, you sang bivouacs, expanse of squirrels and a formidable fun of fights, and curls of your mustache.”
On March 11, the investigative department of the city of Mozhaisk of the Main Investigative Department of the SK Moscow region opened a criminal case on the fact of riots in the colony. Pupils who will be condemned in this case threatens three to eight years in prison.
“I prayed, only left the temple, and they again called me [to Vladimir Nikolaevich]. Vladimir Nikolaevich asked why I did not come to him and did not show the sewn button. I answered him that he did not tell me to come, and said that I was in the temple. After which he took the club and said: "[once in the temple], let's go, I will cover you" and hit the body five times, "writes the teenager.
