Pushkin (Pushrooms) opens an exhibition of one of the founders of Moscow conceptualism Viktor Pivovarov “Lost Key”, and since the end of last week, the Museum of Modern Art “Garage” is held by his exhibition “Snail of the Snail”.
In the Michelangelo Hamia Hall, until May 15, the cycle of picturesque works of Viktor Pivovarov “Lost Key”, created at the end of 2015, will be presented.
“Eight paintings, united by a stylistic game with the art of the XV - XVI centuries, create an amazing space inside the museum hall - meditative and playful at the same time. They give birth to the viewer, the sensation of a light déjà vu due to the masterful wovenness of recognizable details of the Renaissance painting into the complex conceptual fabric of modern art, ” the YMIA website reports.
The exhibition in the PHMI is a parallel project of the exhibition of Viktor Pivovarov “Snail of the Snail” in the MSI “Garage”-the first retrospective of the artist in Moscow for 12 years, uniting more than a hundred of his works-from the early works of the mid-1970s to the present day.
According to the “garage” website , the exhibition “divides by eleven chapters and demonstrates the entire range of creative hypostases of Pivovarov: from the easel artist, book graphics, illustrator, inventor and author of the genre of the conceptual album to the theorist, memoirist and writer.”
The exhibition "Snail Track" will last until June 18.
