On March 22, the Moscow City Court upheld the decision of the previous court to extend the house arrest of the director of the Library of Ukrainian Literature, Natalia Sharina. It is reported by "TASS" with reference to the press service of the court.
In January, the Presnensky Court of Moscow extended the period of house arrest until April 28. According to the investigation, Sharina, being at large, could put pressure on witnesses who are her subordinates.
A case has been opened against Natalia Sharina for inciting hatred or enmity on a national basis due to the storage of banned books in the Library of Ukrainian Literature. Library staff claim that the books found during the search do not have the stamp of the institution, and suggest that the books were planted.
