Vladimir Aristov became a laureate of the Difference Prize

The poetic prize “Difference” in 2016 was awarded to Vladimir Aristov for the book “In our world with a notebook (simple -minded verses)”.

This decision was made by the jury of the “Difference” prize as part of the founders of Igor Gulin, Kirill Korchagin, Denis Larionov and Lev Okorin, as well as the invited member of the jury Alexei Konakov.

In addition to the book of Vladimir Aristov, the short list of “Differences” of this year included the books of Mikhail Aisenberg, Polina Barskova, Linor Goralik, Sergey Zavyalov and Leonid Schwaba.

Two events related to the award took place there: the Polina Andrukovich: Articles and Materials were presented, dedicated to the last year laureate , and two books of the updated poetic series “Generation” - the debut poetic collections of Oksana Vasyakina (“Women's Prose”) and Ksenia Charyeva (“On a completely Alien Feastation”). From now on, on the books of “Generations” published by the Argo Risk publishing house, the Mark of the Difference Prize is standing, and the head of the series is one of the jury members Kirill Korchagin.

Vladimir Aristov will receive a figurine of the artist Daria Chapkovskaya - a staircase made of red wood. The second part of the prize will be a collection of articles on the laureate, to which the jury soon intends to start. Vladimir Aristov (b. 1950) graduated from the Moscow Physics and Technical Institute, teaches mathematics, works at the computing center of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The first publication of poems is in 1987. Member of the club "Poetry". The author of the ten books of poetry, laureate of the prize Andrei Bely (2008).

Aristov’s poetry is often associated with the tradition of metarealism. His new book is a study of the surrounding world, where a game with harsh and density of meanings, rhythm and free verse, fragmentation and plot shave the depicted objects, allowing them to perceive them as metaphors with an “open” meaning.

The "Difference" prize is founded in 2013. In the center of her attention is poetry, which becomes a study. From the premium manifesto: “This is not about research in a purely scientific sense, but about a special artistic optics in which the text itself is a means of understanding for the poet and its reader. <...> The variety of approaches entails a variety of conclusions and solutions. The difference between them, opposing a template uniform, is a necessary condition for the existence of poetry, which the bonus wants to pay attention to. "
