The official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Major General Igor Konashenkov, on Thursday, announced that Turkey’s connection with IS was confirmed by journalistic investigations. According to him, a few months ago, the Ministry of Defense presented foreign and Russian journalists "convincing evidence of Turkey's involvement and its leadership in the organization of thieves' oil industry in Syria and the supply of international terrorists ammunition, weapons and militants."

Konashenkov separately identified the investigation of the RT television company, which, in his opinion, proves the existence of constant contacts of the official authorities of Turkey with terrorists operating in Syria.
