The director of a private language school in St. Petersburg was expelled for violating immigration laws

The Dzerzhinsky District Court of St. Petersburg decided to expel US citizen Mike Sherman, director of a private language school, from Russia and fine him six thousand rubles, RAPSI reports .

“The court decided on a fine of six thousand rubles and on independently controlled departure from Russia,” said the secretary of judge Anzhelika Morozova, how she considered the case.

Previously, the local department of the Federal Migration Service drew up protocols on violation of migration laws against two US citizens, Mike Sherman and Mark Highhouse. Sherman is the CEO of the ALM language school, and Highhouse worked there as a teacher. In the middle of the week, the teacher was also ordered to leave Russia and fined eight thousand rubles.

According to the protocols compiled by the Federal Migration Service, the Americans were illegally engaged in labor activities in the country.

A RIA Novosti source in law enforcement agencies said that the US citizens were detained a week ago, and they spent one night at the police department in the center of St. Petersburg.
