The story of a girl in a hijab, who decided to become a leading "rain"

The Rain TV channel announced the casting of the presenters. One of the first in the open competition was attended by a journalist Zabov Gaitukieva, and a presenter of the Chechen state television channel Grozny in the past. The samples of the girl in a hijab of bright pink color caused stormy discussions on Facebook. "Medusa" tells the story of Zami Gaitukieva, who once was able to get a job on television thanks to her scarf.

Zamy Gaitukiev has been wearing a hijab for several years. She also came to the role of the leading “rain” in a pink scarf - the same bright shade as the logo of the TV channel. The director of the Rain Information Service, Maria Makeeva Gaitukieva, said that in her way she wants to show that "Islam is a very kind and very positive religion." After that, she read the news and an excerpt from Eugene Onegin in the frame. Rain employees promised to call and report their decision later.

For users of social networks, the appearance of Zhaitukieva Zamy at the casting of the leading Rain television channel caused conflicting emotions. “What a sin to hide, it is beautiful”; “This is Angelina Jolie”; "The diction is excellent." Gaitukieva is 23 years old, but she already has enough extensive experience on television. It began to work back in 2009, while studying at the Pyatigorsk Linguistic University at the faculty of international relations. A student with knowledge of English and Arabic and specialization in the Middle East was noticed in the GTRK-Ingushetia (regional branch of Russia-1). Even then, Gaitukieva walked with her head covered, but not in a hijab, but in a scarf. “This is generally according to the Ingush, according to Vainakh, according to traditional ideas that a young girl should cover her head,” she explained to Medusa.

We had to quit the TV channel from the session. However, having broken up with exams, Gaitukieva got a job. It was important to work for Gaitukieva, because "it is much more comfortable, much more stable and much more interesting." I wanted to return to television, but according to her, the wearing of the hijab was not welcomed on the Ingush television channels.

Nevertheless, Gaitukiev received her second work on television partly thanks to the desire to wear hijab on the air. “It was 2013 when the head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov started Instagram. Through this same Instagram I was offered a job, ”she says. - I left an open comment on the page of my friends with the words “It's great that they allow the girls in the scarf calmly [News]. It's a shame that it’s not everywhere. ” After that, employees of the State Chechen television channel "Grozny" contacted Gaitukieva and invited to casting. The day after the casting in the evening news, the first plot of Gaitukieva was released. She received a job on the channel, where, according to her, the hijabs in the frame are even worn by those women who do not wear them in life.

At Grozny, Zagi Gaitukiev received the main professional experience; The channel also opened unexpected opportunities before her. So, for example, during one interview, she managed to impress the Kuwait official with knowledge of the Arabic language. Gaitukieva says that a resident of Kuwait was “a curiosity” to observe the Caucasian girl of her age with Knowledge of Arabic. The acquaintance, according to her, brought investments to the Pyatigorsk linguistic university: the student acted as an intermediary in negotiations between the leadership of the university and the Kuwaiti ministry. Cooperation between the University and Kuwait continues to this day, she says.

The director of the Rain Information Service Maria Makeeva told Medusa that the first time Gaitukieva came to the channel several years ago, even when she worked on Ingush television. It was a “big tour of the Ingush television”, Makeeva explained; According to her, the rain is quite actively looking at the Caucasus.

Gaitukiev herself does not mention this episode. She says that she had to leave work on Grozny due to family circumstances, because of marriage and moving to Moscow, and she decided to try herself in the “rain” only after she found out about the casting of the presenters. In addition, “love for television has not yet passed all the tests, has not gone out,” she says.

Gaitukieva is pleased with the casting at the "rain". “I am madly pleased that the audience adopted me ... Not only people of my faith, my nation, but people of absolutely all faiths: Jews, Russians, and all other nations. It is very pleasant that not everyone thinks stereotypically and not everyone thinks, since a girl in a hijab is all that a hijab is a synonym for terror and Wahhabism, ”Gaitukieva said Medusa. Those who think that the host of the news cannot appear on the air in the hijab, she answers this: “Why? I do not promote Islam, but I do not force anyone to wear a scarf. I wear it for myself, this is my personal matter, ”she emphasizes. Gaitukieva notes that he is ready to pay attention to professional claims - to diction, by the Russian language - but there were no such ones.

Russian television channels tried to bring the presenters to the federal air with the obvious national background. The most famous story is the decision of Leonid Parfenov to make one of the leading project “Country and Mir” Chechen (the program was published in 2003-2004): so the journalist Aset Vatsueva came to NTV.

At first, her appearance was somewhat confused by the audience: on Russian television, Vatsuev became the first presenter, whose origin was discussed more professional skills. The casting of the leading "rain" continues . According to Maria Makeeva, the acceptance acceptance will end next week, and the names of the winners of the casting will be announced only on April 27.
