Sergei Udaltsov was denied parole

The Rasskazovsky District Court of the Tambov Region denied parole to Sergei Udaltsov, who was sentenced to four and a half years in prison for organizing mass riots that allegedly took place on Bolotnaya Square in Moscow on May 6, 2012, and preparing to organize mass riots in other Russian cities. As lawyer Violetta Volkova, who represents Udaltsov’s interests, writes on Twitter, according to the court, the three reprimands made to Udaltsov in the colony and two placements in the ShIZO, as well as three explanatory conversations “do not indicate that he has taken the path of correction.”

Earlier, the administration of IK-3 in the Tambov region, where Udaltsov is being held, stated that it did not support his request for parole. The paper from the colony says that Udaltsov has no incentives, but there are eight penalties. It is also noted that he pleaded not guilty.
