The Moscow City Court upheld the decision of the Tagansky District Court to extend the arrest of artist Pyotr Pavlensky until April 5. Pavlensky is accused of vandalism for the “Threat” action, in which he set fire to the door of the FSB building. At each meeting, the artist demands that the case be reclassified as an article on terrorism, but the judges refuse him this, after which he refuses to talk to them. However, this time Pavlensky himself announced in court that the case had been re-qualified - but not for an article about terrorism, as he asked, but about “destruction or damage to cultural heritage objects (monuments of history and culture) of the peoples of the Russian Federation included in the unified state register of objects cultural heritage (monuments of history and culture) of the peoples of the Russian Federation, identified objects of cultural heritage, natural complexes, objects taken under state protection, or cultural values ​​”(Article 243 of the Criminal Code).
