Militants blew up their car while checking documents in Dagestan

On March 30, a police officer was killed in a car explosion in Dagestan. Another policeman was wounded, according to the regional prosecutor's office.

The incident occurred at a control and barrage post in the Tabasaran region. The police tried to stop the car to check the documents, but the driver continued to move, after which the car exploded.

The National Anti-Terrorism Committee said that an improvised explosive device went off in the car. How many people were in the cabin has not yet been established , TASS reports.

What happened in the NAC was qualified as the prevention of a terrorist attack. The people who were in the car are being checked for possible involvement "in other crimes of a terrorist nature."

• On the evening of March 29, two cars of the Ministry of Internal Affairs were blown up in Dagestan. As a result, one policeman died and two were injured. Responsibility for the explosions was claimed by the Islamic State (the organization was recognized as a terrorist organization and banned in the Russian Federation).
