Timiryazev with a total area of ​​101 hectares. The involvement of land in the revolution was approved by the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia," the press service said.

The organization emphasized that the Timiryazevo Academy compensates for losses from land transfer, allocating land for free for the creation of a housing and construction cooperative for employees of the Academy. Alternative land plots will also be provided to the university to conduct experimental facilities and organize the educational process from lands located in ecologically clean areas in the territory of New Moscow and the Moscow Region. "

One of the reasons for the transfer of land was the lack of funds in the budget of Russia for the development of this university, a source in the government , familiar with the circumstances of the decision on development.

"This Academy is funded by the state. But it does not have money for the academy now. Therefore, assets, in this case, the land that the university uses inefficiently will be withdrawn from its submission and then built up. And the money will go to the development of the Timiryazev Academy," the source said.

Meanwhile, according to the dean of the faculty of agronomy and biotechnology of the Academy Alexander Solovyov, the transfer of land is illegal, since the presidential decree of 2008 was included in the state list of particularly valuable objects of cultural heritage.
