Currently, cargo transportation between states is regulated by an agreement on the temporary exchange of permits , which is valid until April 15. It implies an equal number of quotas: 20 thousand forms for the Polish side and 20 thousand for the Russian side.

On Thursday, a new round of negotiations between Moscow and Warsaw on cargo transportation started in Gdansk. According to Asaul, the Polish side has no complaints or questions regarding the new Russian legislation that regulates the transportation of goods. “This is the most important result of today’s negotiations,” the deputy minister noted.

As part of previous negotiations, the parties were unable to agree on quotas, so on February 1, cargo transportation between Russia and Poland stopped. After this, drivers began to choose alternative routes, including the flow through Ukraine.

Nevertheless, Ukrainian activists began to block the passage of Russian trucks. As a result, Russia temporarily suspended the movement of trucks registered in Ukraine across the country. Kyiv responded by suspending the transit of trucks from Russia.
