Since April 1, the Bank of Russia established a moratorium on satisfying the requirements of creditors of the First Czech-Russian Bank (PCRB) for a period of three months. Thiswas reported in the press release of the regulator.
As noted in the materials of the Central Bank, the moratorium was introduced "in connection with the dissatisfaction of the claims of creditors for monetary obligations in terms of seven days from the date of the date of their satisfaction." The Deposit Insurance Agency will begin payments to the BSCRB depositors no later than 14 days from the date of establishing the moratorium.
On March 25, the Kommersant newspaper, citing unnamed sources, wrote that the largest lender of the Iranian Bank Markazi Jomhori ISLAMI Iran is the largest Bank of Iran. According to the publication, the Iranian regulator should be about 1.6 billion rubles, and it was because of this debt that the bank managed to maintain a license.
On March 24, the Central Bank introduced a temporary administration to the ICRB, which should determine the further work of the bank. As Kommersant pointed out, it is inappropriate to sanitize the ICRB, since the hole in the bank’s assets is about 17 billion rubles, and potential insurance payments to depositors are estimated only at 15 billion rubles.
The ICRB is also known for the fact that in November 2014 it issued a loan worth € 9 million of the French nationalist party National Front, headed by Marin Le Pen. On March 1, the bank took 119th place among Russian finorganizations in terms of assets.
