The Investigative Committee added a new article in the case of an attack on journalists and human rights activists of the Committee on Prevention of Torture in Ingushetia. An article on the obstruction of journalistic activities (part 3 of article 144 of the Criminal Code) is combined with previously excited articles on hooliganism (part 2 of article 213 of the Criminal Code), intentional destruction or damage to property (part 2 of article 167 of the Criminal Code) and robbery (part 2 of article 162 of the Criminal Code).

Sergey Krivov, convicted of the “swamp case”, was refused UPO. The basis was one outstanding punishment: in November 2015, the leadership of the Bryansk IR No. 6 put a candidate of physical and mathematical sciences for preventive accounting, explaining this to Krivov’s tendency to attack representatives of the administration or employees of the institution.

The Moscow City Court reduced the term for six months to Ildar Dadin. In December 2015, the Basmanny Court first condemned him for repeated violation of rallies (Article 212.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) - under an article included in the Criminal Code in July 2014. Now the civil activist will have to spend two and a half years instead of three years in a general regime colony.

Rosobrnadzor issued an order to suspend the state license of the European University of St. Petersburg. The order was issued based on the results of the audit, which took place at the university from March 14 to March 18 and revealed numerous violations: in some sections of the university website there is no information mandatory by the law or it is posted not in those sections of the site. Errors are also found in the documents accompanying the educational process. One month has been given to correct violations of the EUSPB.

The Investigative Committee for the Kursk Region started a second criminal case against local deputy Olga Lee. She is charged with the excitement of hatred and enmity in relation to representatives of the authorities (part 1 of article 282 of the Criminal Code). The reason was a video message criticizing Vladimir Putin, prosecutors and judges. Earlier, the deputy became a defendant in a criminal case of slander against judges (part 1 of article 298.1 of the Criminal Code).
