When extinguishing a large fire in the building of the Ministry of Defense in the center of Moscow, on Znamenka Street, one fireman suffered from thermal exposure, the city’s emergency services said.

Earlier, a source in power structures told RIA Novosti that the fire area in an administrative building increased to three and a half thousand square meters.

There are no threats for employees of the Ministry of Defense or a violation of the work due to a fire, the department noted.

The fire arose in the morning. In the first messages from the scene of the emergency , it was said that the fire area is 50 square meters.
