The single picket of the defender of the Timiryazev Academy was forced to stop

On April 5, a single picket was held near the building of the Ministry of Agriculture with a demand to stop the alienation of land from the Timiryazev Academy. Ten minutes after the start of the picket, a guard came out of the building of the ministry and demanded to leave, as high-ranking officials were expected to arrive.

After that, a second representative of the Ministry's guards approached the picketer, introduced himself as the chief and demanded to stop the picket. Otherwise, he promised to call a police squad, because the young man looks suspicious and, perhaps, wants to carry out a terrorist attack. This was reported to OVD-Info by the picketer himself.

After consulting with his comrades, the young man decided not to go into conflict and stopped a solo picket near the building of the Ministry.

In the afternoon, a changeable single picket and a collection of signatures for the cancellation of the decision on the alienation of land were held near the building of the administration of the agricultural academy.

By the decision of the Government Commission for the Assessment of Housing Construction, the lands occupied by educational and experimental breeding fields were seized from the Timiryazev Moscow Agricultural Academy. 101 hectares are transferred for multi-storey development. The fields, which developers are now claiming, have been in perpetual use of the agricultural academy since its foundation.
