Publicists Rizvan Ibragimov and Abubakar Didiev detained in Chechnya

On April 1, Chechen publicists Rizvan Ibragimov and Abubakar Didiev were detained in Grozny. The detentions took place immediately after criticism of Ibragimov's texts by officials. This was reported on April 5 by "Caucasian Knot" with reference to its own source.

Law enforcement officers took Ibragimov and Didiev directly from their homes. At the moment, the detainees have not been charged, but relatives know where the detainees are, violence was not used.

On March 28, a meeting on the problems of the ethnogenesis of the Chechens was held at the National Museum of Chechnya, where the issues of disseminating texts that put forward hypotheses about the origin of the Chechen people were discussed.
