Ukrainian pilot Nadezhda Savchenko, sentenced to 22 years in prison, announced the beginning of an indefinite dry hunger strike on April 6. This was announced on Twitter by Savchenko's lawyer Mark Feigin.
On April 5, Savchenko's verdict entered into force, since no appeal was filed against him within 10 days - the pilot refused this.
At the moment, Nadezhda Savchenko is in pre-trial detention center No. 3 in the city of Novocherkassk in the Rostov region.
